Welcome to the second chapter of our new blog series In Bed With - a gentle, intimate conversation under the covers with people we admire. We’ll be exploring the rituals, reflections, and routines that shape their nights (and days).
We live in a culture that makes rest feel complicated. We’re told to plunge into ice baths, invest in endless supplements, or follow the latest wellness fad - when often, what we really need is something simpler. Something more grounding, nourishing, and kind.
Charlotte felt the same. Tired of a racing mind, restless sleep, and the sense that balance was always just out of reach, she turned to aromatherapy. The quiet ritual of breathing in an aromatic blend, whether for five minutes or an hour, reminded her that rest isn’t a luxury or an afterthought. It’s a daily practice, one we’ve almost forgotten.
In this interview, Charlotte offers a glimpse into the daily rhythms and reflections that attune her to self-care, personal growth and rest. It's a story of learning to listen to your body, making space for curiosity and trusting that everything will work out in the end.
I feel optimistic about…

In the Autumn/Winter months, I find myself naturally wanting to hunker down and hibernate, and this can sometimes mean exercise taking a back seat. So this year I’ve pre-empted it and started to find pockets of time in the day to go for a bike ride or head to the gym. It's not a perfect routine; sometimes the timing is random and clunky, but I don’t think it needs to be perfect. I’m optimistic it will work, and I know I’ll feel better for it.
When the going gets tough…
Resilience is one of the most important aspects of running your own business. If you didn’t start with it, you certainly learn along the way. When things are tough, I dig in, work hard, talk and communicate, take a step back, and try to see the bigger picture. It's hard; some days are really tough, and others feel incredible. I’ve learnt this is the journey of creating something, and you learn every day.
Tell younger me
Enjoy being young and carefree. Stay curious. Travel. Read. It will all work out in the end.
A habit that’s served me well
Reading. I’ve always read, and this year, a friend brought me a Book Subscription for my Birthday, it's been the most incredible gift. Every 2 months I receive a new book in the genre that I love, and it's kept my reading going every day. I love historical fiction and being taken somewhere new to learn new things. It's pure escapism for me.
On my bedside table…

A tower of books. A notepad and pen for any weird midnight thoughts or ideas. A glass of water, The Clarity Aromatherapy Mist, I mist this all over the bedroom before bed, The Peace Body Oil for a wind down, and a gua sha for a lovely skincare routine.
A bedtime routine that works for me…
I love evening and bedtime routines. For me, a good night's sleep starts realistically at about 5 pm, which is when I eat dinner. I like eating early to digest. I try and put my phone and laptop down around this time too, and it really works if it's in another room, I find myself less likely to look at it. I like to go for a walk or bike ride if I can, even for 20 minutes. I love an evening bath with our Aromatherapy Salts a couple of hours before bed. It's really important that the bath isn’t too hot, as this can really interrupt your circadian rhythm. A candle and a podcast or book to unwind with, and a herbal tea. I love the pukka mint and liquorice ones or a decaf Yorkshire tea. I pop on our Pillow Mist and white noise, and hopefully, I quickly fall asleep.
Sounds to drift off to
I love white noise! I discovered it when I had my eldest son, and now I use it most nights. It helps me completely relax and switch off my very busy brain.
