Lighter mornings, longer days; oh how we have been longing for this most anticipated of seasons. Summer is such a short and beautiful season, laced with possibilities and opportunities, and it is so tempting to fill it with activity. Holiday preparations , social planning and generally saying yes to more. Is it any wonder we can begin to feel lacking in energy, more stretched and more stressed?

Underpinning this seasonal shift is less sleep.

Warmer nights and lighter mornings interrupt our natural circadian rhythm, leading to up to 2 hours being lost every night. Coupled with busier days and our self-imposed pressure to squeeze the most out of every sunny day, it’s little wonder that summer is a major sleep disrupter.
