Team Floks took a trip to both the Harrison Spinks factory, where our mattresses are handmade, and to their organic farm, where many of the natural fillings — wool, hemp, and flax — are grown.

Our naturally filled mattress range is made right here in Yorkshire by our partners - renowned fifth-generation bedmakers Harrison Spinks. Designed to perfectly complement our award-winning British wool bedding, these mattresses are crafted with care; from farm to finish.
 
Our two days with Harrison Spinks were packed with learning about every step in the journey: how each component is grown, reared, crafted, and brought together to create our Floks designed mattresses.

 
We saw first-hand the passion and precision that goes into every stage of production — from flax seedlings growing in rich organic soil, to the weaving of the ticking fabric, the winding of springs, and the hand-stitched quilting on each mattress (which we even tried ourselves — a skill that takes months to master!). We met the talented in-house joinery team that build every headboard and base, and the upholsterers who bring them to life with beautiful fabrics.

 
Harrison Spinks shares our values: a commitment to sustainability, support for British farmers through the British Wool traceability scheme, and the craftsmanship of British manufacturing. We’re so proud of this partnership and thrilled to have seen it all up close.
