Why sleep with wool?
Because once you’ve tried it, there’s really no going back.
Wool is one of nature’s cleverest materials - it’s breathable, moisture-wicking, and temperature regulating, allowing you to stay cool in the heat and warm when the chill sets in. Unlike synthetic fibres or heavy down, wool works with your body, not against it.
Let’s talk about allergens. Wool is naturally resistant to dust mites, mould and mildew, which makes it a dream for anyone with sensitivities. It’s also odour-resistant and doesn’t trap moisture, so it stays fresher for longer.
Our British Traceable Cheviot wool blend is what really sets us apart - it’s fluffier, comfier and more breathable than anything else out there. This isn’t just bedding—it’s a proper sleep upgrade.
Wool is 100% natural, renewable and biodegradable, making it kinder to the planet, too. No plastic microfibres, no landfill guilt. We only use wool from responsible farms right here in the UK, so you can rest easy knowing your bedding supports local farmers and reduces environmental impact.
Sleep better, naturally.

Where are your products made?
Right here in the UK, by people who know their craft inside out.
Our wool duvets, toppers and pillows are handcrafted by a small team with decades of experience in making products that genuinely support better sleep and wellbeing.
And our beds and mattresses? They’re made by the brilliant team at Harrison Spinks in Leeds. These are true sleep experts, blending traditional techniques with cutting-edge innovation to create mattresses that are not only incredibly supportive but also recyclable and made with natural materials - including wool.
We have found a passionate, generations old, family run production partner in Portugal who we have entrusted with bringing to life our vision of the finest quality bed linen we could find.
Put simply, we partner with makers who share our values of quality, sustainability, and transparency. No corners cut, no secrets - just beautifully made bedding and sleep essentials, built to last.
Do you do sales?
Not in the traditional sense.
At Floks, we believe in fair, honest pricing all year round - no inflated markups or flash sales just to bring things back down again. Our products are made with care, using the highest quality natural materials and British craftsmanship, and we price them with that value in mind.

What are the benefits of wool?
Wool is a natural fibre famed for its thermo-regulatory qualities, meaning our duvets, toppers and mattresses will keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Our all-season duvet is an ideal investment for year-round sleep perfection. If you feel the cold and like additional weight during the coldest months, then our winter duvet could be the one for you.
Wool naturally allows air to circulate, stopping the build-up of bacteria and mould. This means our duvets are ideal for those living with conditions such as asthma or eczema.
Wool is sustainable and safe, providing a superior night's sleep. All our wool is sourced from British farms, and we can trace it from barn to bed. It's 100% renewable and natural - shearing wool from sheep is necessary for their health and welfare.
When you slide between a wool-filled duvet and topper, it's warm, smooth, and comforting and cosy. We call it the Floks feeling, and there's nothing else like it.

Is wool bedding better than down?
We think so! It helps regulate your body temperature which is one of the main reasons why people wake in the night. Wool is a safe, sustainable and long-lasting material that is 100% biodegradable. You can read a little more about the benefits of wool in this handy guide from the International Wool Textile Association and British Wool.
If you're searching for a down alternative duvet, mattress topper or pillow, then give it a try. Trust us, you'll never go back.
Are wool duvets heavy?
Wool duvets are heavier than down duvets, but this is repaid in comfort and coolness. We've been using wool duvets for centuries. Wool duvets are better at managing moisture, ensuring we don't overheat while we sleep.
How do I clean my Floks bedding?
You can read our detailed care guides here.
Our wool bedding is simple to care for. If it's sunny, you can hang it outside. This refreshes the wool and restores its antibacterial properties.
If you need to clean your Floks bedding, wool can be dry-cleaned. Take your item to a professional who you’re confident can care for it.
Which weight duvet do you recommend for a warm, well-insulated house?
We would recommend our All-Season duvet if your house is well-insulated. It should help keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. You can read our handy guide here if you would like more information, or drop us a line at hello@floks.co.uk, where one of our sleep experts will be happy to advise you.
Can your mattress toppers be used on memory foam beds?
Yes, they're perfect for foam mattresses as they provide a breathable layer and should prevent you from over-heating, which is a common problem with memory foam. You can see our full range of mattress toppers here.
