Sleep Week is every day at Floks HQ. We exist to help you find better and more restorative sleep so that you can be the best version of yourself—happy and healthy.
When we opened our shop, we found like-minded brands, and Sweet Bee Organics has been a shining star since day one. The raw ingredients (and goodness) shine through in everything they do, and all of our customers keep coming back for more.
Their Sweet Sleep Magnesium Butter is like magic—rich in top-grade organic ingredients - the whole team is hooked. They have set the benchmark for wellness brands in our shop. With that in mind, we thought there was no better person to kick off Sleep Week than Hollie King, Founder of Sweet Bee Organics.
Who are Sweet Bee Organics?
We are a brand dedicated to creating organic, handmade wellness products that nurture both body and mind. Rooted in a passion for natural remedies and a deep respect for traditional herbal wisdom, Hollie has built Sweet Bee with the belief that small, daily rituals can have a profound impact on overall well-being. Her mission is to help others find balance and rest in a modern world that often overlooks the importance of slowing down.
With sleep being a cornerstone of good health, can you share with us how and why you prioritise sleep and your nightly sleep routine, including tips for our readers to try?
Sleep is everything. It’s not just about rest—it’s when our bodies repair, restore, and reset for the next day. I’ve learned that prioritising sleep isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity, and my nightly routine is something I protect fiercely.
Here’s what works for me:
Magnesium Ritual – Every night, I massage Sweet Sleep Magnesium Butter onto my feet and legs. It helps calm my nervous system, eases tension, and sets me up for deep, uninterrupted sleep. (I always say, “You don’t know how well you can sleep until you try magnesium!”)
Creating a restful space – My bedroom is my sanctuary. My son, Odin, adores Floks natural wool bedding, which keeps him at the perfect temperature and feels incredibly soft. I am also loving mouth tape at the moment!
Digital detox – I dim the lights and stay off screens at least 30 minutes before bed. Instead, I’ll do some light stretching, sip on Sacred Roots for extra relaxation, or read a few pages of a book.
For anyone struggling with sleep, I always recommend keeping a consistent routine—your body craves rhythm. Start small, swap out one habit at a time, and see what works for you!
A few little things that are lifting your spirits and you are enjoying right now:
Daily walk
Reformer Pilates – There’s something about a small group of women working hard at 7:30 in the morning. It’s a real community, and it gives me a pep in my step.
Adding fruit into my carnivore approach—I found I need a bit of sugar to actually survive.
Adding rose to my matcha – It has lots of vitamin C, and well, it’s rose… which is just heavenly.
